How to improve the current level of employee satisfaction and enhance their sense of belonging?
Challenge
The HR Manager of a large media company approached us to identify which company’s initiatives and benefits stand out and appeal to employees and how these can be optimised and fine-tuned consistently with the needs of their human capital.
What initiatives could increase employee satisfaction and loyalty to the organisation? What could be the most effective storytelling approach?
Solution
To assess employee satisfaction and the company's initiatives, we organised focus groups with professionals from different departments to listen to their specific needs. Additionally, using creative activities in small groups, we analysed and improved some of the company proposals to better align them with employee expectations.
Insight
We uncovered some deep-rooted needs among the company human resources that emerged after the pandemic. These included the requirement for one day per month dedicated to professional growth and training, as well as 'meeting-free' time slots to exercise the right to disconnect, particularly when working remotely.
We also found that employees prefer a smaller but higher-value and more inclusive range of benefits, allowing them to perceive an effective sense of care from the organisation.
