What does wellbeing mean and stand for employees and on which key dimensions could a Wellbeing model be based?
Challenge
A leading company in the energy sector asked our support to explore the new needs of their professionals and to assess some of the drafted initiatives to improve the wellbeing of their human resources. We started with an initial wellbeing model developed by the company.
Solution
To better understand how employees perceive the concept of "wellbeing", we organised focus groups with various employee segments, providing us with valuable insights to select and suggest initiatives. We then designed together with the client a questionnaire to measure employee satisfaction, to build wellbeing KPIs and validate the most effective initiatives, as well as to define the best internal communication methods.
Insight
We discovered that 'work-life harmony' is the most important pillar in defining wellbeing, regardless of the age of the employees.
In terms of activities to improve human resource wellbeing, we were surprised by the strong desire to implement initiatives focused on social and relational areas, ideally in-person, at a time when many workers – despite the pandemic receding – were still seeking safety and protection in remote work.
